This week I had the pleasure of being a part of the first west coast Lucky Magazine FAAB (fashion and beauty bloggers) conference at the beautiful Annenberg Beach House in Santa Monica. Although I missed out on being an attendee (the tickets sold out in the blink of an eye) I was asked by Lucky to be a volunteer. I said count me in! I arrived at 7am having no idea what I would be doing and I ended up working the VIP room which was amazing (you can imagine my excitement!) as there were so many fabulous people there to speak. I had a fantastic day, was so inspired and can’t wait for next years FAAB!

My first job in the VIP room was to prepare the passes. Then I met some other lovely blogger volunteers like Kena of The Fashion Camp (with me above), Kate of The Forgetful Wife, and Sharzad of Luxelyfe. The opening speaker was Zac Posen (he is Michelle Obama’s go to designer) Wow! What a way to start the day! He was very charming. He is posing (no pun intended!) with the Lucky editors who were also lovely to meet. Next up was the oh so sweet (and tiny) Jessica Alba. She was speaking about her brand of eco-friendsly, non-toxic baby products The Honest Company.
The beautiful and talented Elizabeth Banks was speaking about her blog. Kiernan Shipka, the adorable little actress from Mad Men was there (being interviewed above) speaking with the Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant about fashion. There was a panel talking about How I Became an Entrepreneur which included Wende Zomnir of Urban Decay, Alli Webb founder of Drybar, Kate Somerville of Kate Somerville Skincare, Andrew Siegel of Advance Publications, Jenni Radosevich of I Spy DIY and Soleil Moon Frye (remember Punky Brewster??) social media expert and author. I also met the man himself Michael Stars and his wife and their cute little dog. They had a room next to the VIP’s where they were giving away these awesome gift bags!

Later in the afternoon I had a chance to get out and explore and made this cute little video with Jellypop shoes. Click on the photo above to see these green jeans and adorable (super comfortable) shoes in action!

Tacori also had a fun, interactive booth where you could try on their jewelry and get your picture taken. I of course piled on about 10 pieces!
There were so many more talented speakers and bloggers…too many to mention, that made for a long day full of excitement and inspiration and I am hungry for more! Hopefully I can make it to the east coast FABB in New York in September!
SO great to meet you! Love your blog!!! XOXOXOXO
Thank you! It was so fun meeting you too. Did I miss anything at the cocktail party? I “hit the wall” and left early.
