leisure society

This week I was excited to be invited to the Leisure Society summer kick off party in Venice Beach. It was at Hoff Optometry which is nestled into an adorable row of shops along Abbott Kinney. If you haven’t been to this area you must go! It is very “boho chic” and embodies everything S.California! When I walked in I was thrilled to see Mark Ryden (one of my have artists) adorning the walls and I felt right at home!

I immediately fell in love with this brand. Each pair of sunglasses is handcrafted from the highest quality materials. Leisure Society glasses have ultra refined intricate detailing, making every pair a work of art.

Everyone knows that I love a photo booth so I was thrilled to be asked to pick 4 of my faves and get in there!

Julie Andrews of Kerstin Florian, the adorable brow artist who shaped me (who’s name i forgot:(), and Kelley Baker

Upstairs is home to Kelley Baker Brows and Lavish Tan and both were sampling their services that night. I had my brows shaped and filled in and learned a little something. She used a firm, thin angled brush with powder and outlined my brow first, filled it in then highlighted right under my brow line with a cream colored pencil. I felt like a new woman!

I was also introduced to a skincare line called Kerstin Florian and I am already hooked! Their wonderful rep. Julie, gave me this quick under eye treatment that left me feeling hydrated and rejuvenated. It was Rehydrating Neroli Water, which she also gave me a sample of and I am treating it like gold!! She also sampled me their Turkish Body Scrub which I couldn’t wait to try the next day. It was amazing. I have never felt softer!

I loved how the gift bags contained a Leisure Society sunglass case filled with macaroons! So clever! *Note the missing one I ate on the way home

The girls at Lavish Tan were super cool and were giving spray face tans. It took less then a minute and made me feel like a bronzed beach babe! Notice my new glow in this last photo? As I was leaving, Johathan from Leisure Society insisted that I try on smaller frames, even though I was sure I wouldn’t feel nearly as chic as in the larger styles, but guess what? He was right. I loved the smaller frames and surprised a few other guests (and myself) with how well they fit my face shape. I guess the guys at LS really do know what they are doing! Now I have to decide which ones were my ultimate faves and start saving!

    • Yes, tons of fun! Turns out the eye pad treatment is quite an indulgence. I just ordered some but will save for special occasions!
