I was so sad to hear that one of my favorite fashion designers, Betsey Johnson, was filing bankruptcy and closing her boutiques. I was, however, happy to read that she would still be designing, selling to department stores and that the brand would remain strong. I was even happier to find that her outlet store in Camarillo was having a huge sale!! I scored 5 items for $100!! Here I am (above) in Betsey from head to toe!

My love for Betsey Johnson (above) began back in the early 90′s when my girl Raena and I stumbled upon her boutique in Miami during a girls day out! I instantly became a fan of her celebration of exuberance, embellishment, and rock-n-roll style. Her spirit has always been a great inspiration to me! I named my first car Betsey, my pet turtle (R.I.P) and my (current) furry, leopard print bicycle!

Thank you Betsey for continuing to inspire me!
She’s one of my favs, too. I had a pink dress with Marilyn on the back and one of my favorite jackets, faux brown fur, from 20 years ago that I still wear!
