Saturday night Wade and I were invited to check out Barsha for the Wurst Oktoberfest which featured 5 different dogs made by Adam Gertler (who I just realized is the man behind the Reuben Dog that I loved so much from Dog Haus at the LA Street Food Fest), 4 craft beers made locally by The Dudes’ Brewing Company, and decadent chocolates by the lovely Emily (chocolate and beer…who knew?). This was our first time to Barsha and we weren’t disappointed. It is a great space, very open and comfortable. The owners, husband and wife Adnen & Lenora Marouani, who have a successful history in the food/wine industry, made us feel right at home. Wade and I met Adam Gertler last month at a dinner, where we were intrigued with his story of sausage making, so we were thrilled to get the chance to try several of his dogs. They all paired beautifully with The Dudes’ brews and Emily’s chocolates were a nice finishing touch. Great event, fun night! So much talent and passion under one roof! Look for Gertler’s Wurst at a Costco near you, The Dudes’ brews around LA, and Emily’s chocolates at Barsha and online.
Keep Barsha on your radar. They have a unique selection of wine/goodies and are always hosting cool events. 917 N. Sepulveda Blvd. Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
