Everyone Needs A Private Nurse

about-us

I was recently introduced to the skincare line Cosmedicine, which began in Europe in 2003, and I was instantly attracted to the gorgeous packaging. After trying a few of the products for the last several months I am thrilled to report that they are just as amazing as they look!

This line is all about the science behind the ingredients and they share their product studies online. I think this is awesome because it really explains how and why each product works. I know a lot of engineers that this would appeal to. 😉 Their formulator is Mark Potter who is also responsible for developing some of the most popular skin care lines and cult favorite beauty products, including Estee Lauder, Dr. Dennis Gross, Sonia Kashuk, Prada, and Tom Ford. Thats an impressive line up!

Private Nurse is my absolute favorite! Not only is the name adorable but this night cream really does deliver. It has a nice medium texture and a soft fragrance. When I wake up after using it my skin looks and feels smoother, softer, “plumped” and bright thanks to key ingredients like bamboo extract (to minimize wrinkles), hyaluronic acid (for plumping), and pea extract (for skin brightening) among others. With a price tag of $105 it is a bit of a splurge but I totally think it is money well spent. The holidays are coming up which is the perfect time to treat yourself or a special nurse in your life!

Fashion Business Inc’s Runway Show

Fashion Business Inc is a non-profit organization that provides the fashion industry with entrepreneurial development, resources and training, to support its growth and profitability. My friend Mary and I had the pleasure of attending their annual fashion show last week at Union Station in DTLA and it was fabulous! So. Much. Talent.

Art Hearts Fashion Show

Last week I had the pleasure of attending a night of fashion at the beautiful Taglyan Complex in LA. It was an Art Hearts Fashion event produced by the smart, savvy Whitaker sisters Erin and Sarah. What a night!

The show closed with the fabulous designs of Amato Couture! It was wild and over-the-top and I loved every minute of it!

Sofitel Wine Days

The Sofitel in Los Angeles is more then just a hotel. It is an international gathering place with beautiful decor, top notch dining at Estérel, and a fabulous lounge, Riviera 31. Right now for Sofitel Wine Days (through October 31st) order a French wine flight during happy hour and graze their vast spread of the most amazing cheese, olives, honey and snacks all for just $15! What a deal! I recently stopped by and experienced it all…happy hour, dinner and a fantastic jazz show!

After dinner we walked back into a packed lounge and this amazing jazz band. There are different jazz musicians every Monday night and the doorman told me that Stevie Wonder showed up and played earlier in the year. It was a really fun vibe!

I just want to note our dinner at Estérel. It was to dark to take any good pics but we had a really wonderful meal. To start off the waitress recommended the Strawberry Basil Martini that was sooo refreshing and flavorful but not too sweet, just the way I like a cocktail! Then came a really lovely bread basket full of all different types of deliciousness. We had lamb meatballs as an appetizer which I could of had as an entree because they were so good. They were done Moroccan style with couscous and dates which came as a surprise as I was expecting them to be Italian style in a red sauce. It was a good surprise as they turned out to be my favorite thing! We had a very nice lobster for dinner and really enjoyed the romantic, relaxed vibe of the outdoor dining area. It was a beautiful evening under the stars!

The Sofitel is located at 8555 Beverly Blvd right across the street from the Beverly Center.
