Last week my friend Kristi of Currently Crushing hosted a little succulent soiree at Rolling Greens in LA. It was my first visit to a Rolling Greens and what a treat! More then just a nursery, it is this super cool indoor/outdoor space full of plants and unique home and gift items. The whole place was decorated so beautifully I wanted to move in! They really take pride in their displays and are constantly changing the theme of the store by season.
You are invited to the Rolling Greens Holiday Premieres! Enjoy a first glance at the beautiful store transformations Saturday Nov. 1st at the Culver City store from 8am-4pm and Saturday November 8th at the LA store from 5pm-8pm.

Today I have put together some share worthy things to get you through Friday and into the weekend! Things I love this week:
*One of my favorite clients owns this vintage furniture rental company Toast. I just checked out the website and fell in love. I need an excuse to throw a fabulous garden party ASAP!
*The idea of cooking the same healthy food for you and your dog might sound crazy to some people but I love it. I don’t have a dog to try this out on but I still flipped through this book and would buy it just for the awesome dog photos!
*I love a multifunctional product and this week I put Revitalash to the test and it was the perfect brow filler and tamer in one. Done.
*I am a sucker for a unique travel experience and now hovelstay lets college students stay in unique places like domes, Hawaiian huts, and tree houses for under $99 a night. If only I could turn back the clock!
*I have been bag obsessed and can’t stop day dreaming about this canary bag from Ted Baker and this houndstooth tote from Michael Kors! Perfection.
I have got a super busy weekend ahead…a bachlorette party, a Pre-VMA brunch, a hair color class and some balcony gardening with my hubby to fill in these new pots we just got! What are you up to? Whatever it is, cheers to an awesome weekend!
Who doesn’t love OPI Nail Polish? It has been a longtime favorite of mine with it’s rich, long lasting formula and fun color names. If you are equally as enchanted with a beautiful, colorful home then you will be thrilled to know that OPI recently unveiled the OPI Color Palette by Clark+Kensington, which brings 18 of OPI’s most iconic colors, including Miami Beet, OPI Red, Nein! Nein! Nein! OK Fine! and Keeping Suzi at Bay, in Clark+Kensington paint for your home. Launched in more than 3,200 Ace Hardwarestores, this is the first-ever collaboration of its kind and will help homeowners bring their personal style into their homes. Checkout the gorgeous furniture and walls below. I absolutely love it!
I am so proud of my friend Carrie Kim for having her first book published and it happens to be 100 Things to do in Los Angeles Before You Die. How cool is that? Carrie and the city of Los Angeles have a lot in common. They are both colorful and vibrant, full of energy and excitement, and someone/someplace that you really want to get to know. So, she was the perfect person to write this book. Like me, Carrie is always on the hunt for the fun and unusual adventures and experiences that are hidden all over LA. I have lived here since 1999 and have only done about half of the things in this book. That is one thing that I love about LA, there is always SO MUCH TO DO! Carrie has rounded up some really fun and diverse things in varied neighborhoods all over this vast city! Check it out and never be bored again!
Leave a comment below with one of your craziest LA moments, favorite things to do here, or something you would like to do in LA, and I will choose 1 winner at random on Tuesday April 1 (no, it’s not an April Fools Day prank) to win a copy of this book!! Good luck!
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALEXANDRA!!! YOU ARE THE WINNER! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERED AND SHARED FUN STORIES! XO
This week I am in beautiful south Florida visiting my family and friends. It feels great to relax at my parents house, reconnect and recharge. My mom and I have been looking at furniture to replace some older pieces in her house and although her decor is rustic, we keep being drawn to fun pieces like these. It’s too bad they just wouldn’t work in her cedar bungalow and my dad would think she’s lost her mind. (“You want me to sit on a pair of lips”?) However, we can’t help but fantasize about having a place filled with eclectic pieces like these someday. I am thinking a chic, over the top, home in Palm Springs? This look would be perfect!
