one nightstand

Ever since we moved into our 980 sq ft loft 3 years ago, decorating has been a work in progress. We literally sold everything we had and decided to start over. It’s a great opportunity to approach interior design in a eclectic, modern and minimalist fashion; tailored specifically to our new space. Our bedroom is the most complete, yet the nightstands are lacking lamps. We have two options in mind. What do you think?

My current nightstand from CB2!

Our top 2 lamp ideas: gun lamps by Philippe Starck and Kartell lamps by Ferruccio Laviani or maybe one of each??? I am extremely inspired by several interior design stars:

Jonathan Adler for his groovy, colorful, and funky style.

Kelly Wearstler for her enchanting take on interior design as well as fashion.

Philippe Starck for his unconventional and imaginative sleek, modern designs.
Who inspires you?

When Wade and I purchased our loft, we decided to start from scratch and decorate from the ground up. We sold everything so that we’d have a blank canvas to work with. Our decorating style completely changed as we went from an eclectic 1920’s bungalow to an open floor plan loft. I traded in my tchotchkes and mismatched furniture for a cleaner and more modern aesthetic. We decided to blend modern hard lines such as chrome and glass with more organic and natural forms.
