Friday Faves

My bags are packed! This weekend we are hitting the open road and heading out to Sin City for a couple of days to celebrate our 9 year wedding anniversary! I am super excited to spend time with my husband and just relax. It has been a crazy busy couple of weeks and we haven’t seen much of each other so the timing is perfect.  What are you up to? Here are some of my faves this week…

* I hungout at the newly redesigned Estérel in the Sofitel Hotel in Beverly Hills for their unveiling party last night and it was gorgeous. There is a ton of outdoor garden and cabana seating that would be perfect for Sunday brunch. I can’t wait to go back!

* Tomorrow night is the Annual White Light White Night Charity event for Walk With Sally in Manhattan Beach. A ton of celebs will be there including my 2 favorite Heathers…Dubrow and McDonald. Hopefully I run into at least one of them! Last time I checked there were still a few tickets left!

* Thursday July 30th Create Nightclub will host the 6th Annual LUCKYRICE LA Feast featuring the best up and coming chefs and plenty of Asian-influenced cocktails. Tix are $150 VIP and $88 GA.

* Rilastil is one of the top skincare lines in Italy and I have been using the Long Lash Mascara ($32) and Illuminating Eye-Contour Cream ($70) for the last month and love them both! I normally wouldn’t spend this much on a mascara but this one is worth every penny. The mascara wand is flexible and really separates the lashes. It contains red algae extract thats helps to strengthen your lashes. It doesn’t clump or flake either which is amazing. The eye cream has a really cool applicator tip that smoothes it right under the eye and it contains 31 active ingredients to lift, firm, and brighten the delicate skin under the eye area. I feel like it has really improved the appearance of my dark circles.

* Christie Brinkley…who doesn’t love her? She has always been naturally beautiful so when I heard she had a line of skin care now I had to try it. I have been using the Complete Clarity Daily Facial Exfoliating Polish for a few weeks now and I am a huge fan. It is gentle, cleanses and exfoliates at the same time, has a very light fragrance, and is under $25. My one tip is to make sure you really wash it off well. A couple of times I didn’t and my face felt a little felt gritty when I was putting on my moisturizer.

* I love a mud mask and the Miracle Skin Transformer Miracle Revival Mud Mask ($38) is the bomb! It only takes 15 minutes, feels cool as it settles into your skin, and unclogs pores, detoxifies and hydrates. It truly is a miracle and they sell it at Nordstrom. The next time you get a “note” (true Nordies will know what I’m talking about) treat yourself!

* Speaking of Nordstrom, the Anniversary Sale is going on now until Aug 2nd and Whish (I love them…remember their fun event at Ulta?) has created an exclusive line called Soda Fountain Collection with a bath and body gel ($15) and a body butter ($12) in delicious flavors like Orange Cream (my favorite), Black Cherry, Ginger Melon and Key Lime.

Citadel Outlets is proud to be a part of the Los Angeles community welcoming the 2015 Special Olympics World Games with their Reach Up and Shop! Program. From Saturday, July 25- Monday, Aug. 2, World Games athletes, family members, volunteers and honored guests can show their World Games badge to receive 20% off top name brands across the center!

* There’s a new shopping site called Her Velvet Vase out of Singapore that just launched in the US that has super chic clothing and accessories that are all under $100!

* There is a great Norman Seeff rock-n-roll photography show at  Ron Robinson  in Santa Monica thru August 30th. One more reason to stop in and check out this awesome store!

Have a super fun and magical weekend! XO

Blogchella with Pandora and Hawaiian Tropic

Last Friday I spent the day in the desert taking in all the Coachella Party glory I could pack into just one day! The Parker was a one stop shop with plenty to do. Checkout my adventures!

I started the day under the Hawaiian Tropic Tent with an awesome yoga session and a super relaxing massage from the girls at Exhale. Then I was hydrated with a delicious smoothie and sunscreened up for my day in the sun with the new Hawaiian Tropic ultra light, clear, sweat resistant spray on sunscreen that smelled amazing and kept me from burning all day! Thanks guys!

After freshening up my next stop was the Pandora tent. They have a gorgeous new collection of the most dainty, beautiful things! #Pandorasweeps

The Disney Style Tinkerbell tent was so chic with great festival looks and Tink inspired shoes painted by different artists. They were styling hair, doing gold temp tattoos and giving out wings! #TinkStyle

Next up was the Disney Style Minnie Mouse tent full of super cool red, black and white clothes and accessories, a candy bar and a nail bar with a manicam! I got a fabulous Minnie inspired mani from the sweetest nail/makeup artist named Lynne. She actually lives and works in Orange County if anyone needs her services…she travels! #minniestyle

Finally, the event of the night! A super cool fashion show from SIWY, Pandora and Minnetonka. Everything was hot, hot, hot! The denim was very unique and looked perfect for the desert. I was also surprised to see what a full collection of different style mocs and sandals Minnetonka has out. They look comfy and stylish! Now thru 4/26 take 20% off 1 Minnetonka item with code FESTIVALFRINGE

I ended the night out on the lawn with my new friends Tamera and Michael playing life size Jenga and enjoying the beautiful desert sunset. We even ran into the man himself The Cobra Snake. What a treat! Then I had to head back to LA. At least it only took 2 hrs to get home as opposed to the 4 hrs it took me to get there the night before! I am already planning on staying longer next year!

Thank you to Hawaiian Tropic and Pandora for an amazing day!

Friday Faves

Ruby Montana's Coral Sands Inn, Palm Springs CA

Good morning! Today’s Friday Faves are coming to you straight from one of my favorite places…PALM SPRINGS! No, I’m not going to Coachella but I am hanging out at The Parker all day for the blogger parties and fashion shows! I drove out last night stayed at the adorable Coral Sands Inn with my friend Farron. All the rooms are themed and we had the Roy Rogers Room which did not disappoint! Every inch of that room had cowboy decor and kitschy knickknacks. We had dinner at Norma’s and then drinks and dessert at an old school favorite Melvyn’s. It was the perfect Palm Springs night and I can’t wait to see what adventures today brings! Farron will be selling her gorgeous weavings today and tomorrow in Joshua Tree at a pop-up-shop in The End. If you are out that way be sure to stop in and say hi! Whatever your weekend brings may it be fun filled and magical! XO

Donate to Your Favorite Cause with Union & Fifth

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the Union & Fifth rooftop party at the gorgeous London Hotel in West Hollywood. The night couldn’t of been more perfect. It was extremely warm for a March evening even as the sunset AND I bumped into Cindy Crawford and her daughter in the bathroom. She looked exactly the same (flawless) as she did 20 years ago when I used to do her workout in high school. The night was for a good cause, promoting Union & Fifth and their #justonepiece campaign. Everyone brought a designer item to donate to the charity of their choice. Union & Fifth sells the items on their website and then donates the money for you. It couldn’t be easier! You can shop their collection of amazing designer pieces and donate something yourself. Check it out!

By way of Airbnb, France’s world renowned ski resort – Courchevel – will be offering Airbnb a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ski lovers around the world. The ski resort will be listing one of its famous cable cars on Airbnb for one exclusive night only, transformed into a cozy spot for up to four nestled high above of the mountain.

Starting that day, guests will be greeted with traditional mulled wine after climbing the ski runs via snowmobile and treated to a typical savoyard dinner. Suspended 2700 meters over the Combe de Saulire (the highest point of Courchevel), the cable car will offer a prime location for guests to hit the slopes the next morning after a night overlooking the mountains. After all, guests have the privilege of laying down the “first tracks” over an untouched snow run the next day.

With more than 1M listings, Airbnb is known for providing unique experiences around the world. This one-of-a-kind experience is the latest addition to Airbnb’s ‘A Night At” initiative, designed to unlock places around the world where it’s never been possible to spend the night, which so far have included Gallery Lafayette in Paris, an IKEA store in Australia, a KLM plane in Amsterdam, and a Waterstones book store in the UK.

How to win a spot?

For a chance to win this unique experience, visit Courchevel’s listing on Airbnb no later than February 26th at 11.59pm (CET) and tell the host why you would like to spend the night in the Saulire cable car.
