Last month I went camping at Lake Cachuma near all the cute little towns like Solvang, Los Olivos, Santa Ynez, and Los Alamos. I was so happy I brought this denim gem that I just got at GAP because I wore it everyday! It is so lightweight and comfortable and can be worn with flats, sandals, or wedges and it always looks super chic but still casual. I don’t think I have rocked a jumpsuit since I was a kid, so this purchase was WAY out of my comfort zone but I love it and it has become my go to summer piece!
Jumpsuit GAP, Sunnies by Quay from Topshop, Vintage glass bead necklace that I just got that day from The Depot Antique Mall & Wine Pub, Purse (my camping bag) from Walmart years ago, Old TOMS for camping
If you love unique, designer clothes and boutique shopping then you have to checkout KIN Los Angeles! This gorgeous boutique is tucked into a little plaza on the Sunset strip that actually has a parking lot (!!!) and is much bigger inside then it looks from the outside. They recently threw a summer soirée and I was lucky enough to score an invite! I had an amazing time chatting with the staff who are SO NICE, laid back and knowledgeable about all things fashion. There was a Wonderland eyewear pop up shop and a ton of beautifully merchandised rooms full of the coolest clothes, shoes and accessories for men and women. It was one of the most visually stunning boutiques I have ever been in. You must stop in the next time you are in that neck of the woods!
The displays at KIN are so inviting!
Wonderland is vintage inspired eyewear designed in California!
Its always fun running into these blogger babes Rossana, Rachael, (me) and Kristi.
How cool is this dress by 3.1 Phillip Lim?
I absolutely loved how everything was displayed. Can I move in please??
These shoes rocked my world!
KIN Los Angeles is at 8555 West Sunset Blvd.
GAP just opened a beautiful new location in South Coast Plaza downstairs next to Corner Bakery and will carry the GAP Body line that includes the softest bras I have ever worn, as well as other specialty items and I was there for the party to celebrate! The festivities started early at 9am and customers could shop like celebrities for 2 full hours before the mall opened! It was so much fun! Thank you to Assistant Manager Kennya and all the awesome GAP girls for having me back. It was as fun as last year’s denim event!
The new GAP Body section.
They have great summer staples right now like these colorful tanks.
This location has the limited edition Remix Project T’s designed by different artists. I got the grey one with the eyes on the bottom right.
How cute are these festive summer cookies?
I also picked up these 2 denim pieces while I was there that are totally out of my comfort zone but I love them! This jumpsuit is so comfortable!!! I like the pants rolled up with sandals.
This denim dress is also something new for me but it fits perfectly and is so easy to wear. I think you will be seeing a lot of it this summer!
More to come about my awesome GAP finds soon!
Ever wonder what it’s like to be a fashion buyer? Well, last week I got up close and personal with some of the hottest new brands at The CMCDTLA. They have 3 showrooms. SELECT is a curated showcase of woman’s clothing and accessories. SHAPE is athletic and lifestyle apparel and TRANSIT is all shoes a.k.a. heaven!! I met a bunch of passionate and talented designers and saw some really cool stuff. It’s torture not being able to shop! Here are some of my faves from SELECT…
When I walked in I was so happy to see my old friends from MOFE with a gorgeous line of bags on display. Remember when I met them last year? Then I met Gabriela from Lola 76 with her handmade leather goods that mixed beautifully with the jewelry from Silvana K. This display of sunnies from KYND Clothing was so adorable. They are bamboo and float! I loved the handmade leather bags from Lily & Lola (more from them coming soon!) and these boots from ivylee come from Copenhagen. They look perfectly broken in already! Designer Nikki Tena of Indie Republic Design is from Newport Beach and makes the most amazing jewelry from things like Pyrite, Blue Agate, Labradorite, Howlite, and Geodes.
This amazing coat is by Miami based designer Mena Lombard. I wish I could show you her lookbook. The styling and garments are so fabulous!
I fell in love with jewelry designer Ellie Vail. Her collection was soft but edgy and really well made. I wanted everything!
Andrew Gabler, designer at Nouveau Riche was so fun and his clothes were really edgy but sophisticated. I wanted to jump right into these chic quilted leggings! You can see his entire Melrose Meets Robertson collection here.
The street art inspired line Prmitv World by artist Jacqueline Levine rocked my world!

This Namast’ay In Bed t-shirt by Ever Hottie pretty much sums up how I feel every morning! I can’t even stand how cool this line of eco-conscious athletic wear is from designer Katie Tomasetta of Elektrix. She was awesome, her hair color matched her line, and her business cards say Chief Unicorn Wrangler! Chelsea Hughes, designer of the gorgeous lingerie company cantiqLA really took it to the next level by having the beautiful Merissa modeling the line. I was so in love with the unique feminine style that Chelsea gave me a pair of the panties to try! They are so sexy and comfortable! I do a lot of yoga and never really realized that there is a lack of that type of clothing for men until I met the guys at Yoga For Men. Thinking about it the poor guys in my yoga classes are always wearing shorts or sweats that aren’t that comfortable or flexible for all the poses. This line is so soft and made in the USA! Apparently it “hides your package” properly too!
